'When, where and how do we encounter nature spirits'

 
"... Location and time appear to play a significant role in nature spirit encounters. While there will always be exceptions to any rule regarding when and where these entities are experienced, it is nevertheless possible to pinpoint certain core contributory factors.

In order to sense or see nature spirits, a person must be able to tap into or connect with their own inner spirit or human energy profile; this in turn opens out and merges with the energy of Nature (or nature energy profile) to bring about specific nature spirit manifestations. These entities then reflect aspects of the human and nature energy profiles at work on each occasion.

If one accepts the idea that nature spirits are comprised of human and nature energy components, then it is likely that certain factors encourage these two energy profiles to connect in the first place. The presence of these elements may also enhance the quality and strength of each encounter and its specific nature spirit manifestations.

Some of the things one continually hears mentioned in accounts of elves and fairies (and which nature spirit observers claim were responsible for their encounters) include the presence of a full or waxing moon, particular locations like hills and forests (to name but a few), as well as specific dates and times of the day. ..."
